Rubber declines on global trend

Our Correspondent

Kottayam , Nov. 27

RUBBER prices declined on Thursday. Sheet rubber RSS 4 fell to Rs 53 a kg from Rs 54 on Wednesday.

All the grades except latex were down as traders turned themselves into sellers, since the reports from the world markets were not favourable. Ungraded rubber also fell sharply to Rs 49 from Rs 50 in the absence of quantum buyers.

The covering groups retreated giving way to the price-fall after a weak opening. Meanwhile, the world market at Bangkok quoted RSS 3 at Rs 56.01 per kg against Rs 57.16 on Tuesday.
