Experts to address storage summit

A NUMBER of global authorities in storage networking architecture and deployments will participate as speakers and tutorial authorities at the Storage Networking Summit to be held in the city from December 3-5.

According to an official release, IT executives and professional delegates will present end-user case studies at the summit.

Among the dignitaries who will address the delegates are Mr Kumar Malavalli, Storage Networking Industry Architect and Entrepreneur; Ms Sheila Childs, Chairperson of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA); Mr Fred van den Bosch, Senior VP and CTO of Veritas; Mr Richard Lary, Industry Consultant; Mr Hu Yoshida, CTO of Hitachi Data Systems; Mr Jeff Allen of Network Appliance and Mr. Brian Hamel, Vice President of IBM Storage; Mr James LaLonde, Brocade Communications and Mr Rick Bauer, CTO of the Hill School and Chair of the SNIA Consumer Council.

A full suite of tutorials will take place on December 3. The tutorials will include topics aimed at the IT executive who needs a managerial overview to in-depth exchanges of developments in the storage management interface (SMI) standard that the industry is adopting.

The tutorials are open to the storage networking vendor industry and the IT executives and professionals.

The summit is designed to flexibly meet the needs of various delegates in attendance, according to Mr Kumar Malavalli, Chairman of the summit.
