Software Virtusa shares its experiences on `productisation' Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Nov. 23 THERE is a paradigm shift in enterprise software development with new methodologies and processes aimed at bringing in greater efficiencies in productisation, according to Virtusa Corporation, the US-based software development and IT services firm. The company, which has major development centre in Hyderabad, hosted MindWaves here where IT professionals gathered for a day-long session to discuss `The future of enterprise software.' The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Virtusa, Mr Kris Canekaratne, said: "Virtusa helps software product companies achieve increased software development efficiencies through `productisation' methodology. This process is leading a paradigm shift in enterprise software development and we are delighted to share these experiences with the IT community." Mr Canekaratne said the market was being driven by increasing software engineering efficiencies that required new skill sets. Mr Jim Moran, Virtusa's Chief Operating Officer, a speaker at Harvard Business School, shared his insights on the future of the US technology services industry and special thrust on outsourcing.
