The YES campaign, which has its presence in over 60 countries, comprises 6 Es - employability, employment creation, equity, entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and empowerment.

According to the State Minister for Sports and Youth Services, Mr P. Ramulu, the Hyderabad summit is estimated to cost Rs 5 crore. Of this, EDC is providing Rs 3 crore and the State Government Rs 1 crore. The remaining amount is being mobilised through sponsors.

During the summit, he said, seminars would be held on five topics - renewable energy and gender, 6Es and rural development, water and sanitation, ICT and HIV/AIDS and capacity building. Over 100 speakers were invited to address the seminars.

The Minister told newspersons here on Sunday that the list of confirmed speakers included the World Economic Forum Managing Director, Mr Jose Maria Figueres, the UNESCO Director, Mr Rupert Maclean, the UNIDO Director General, Mr Carlos Magarinos, the Indian Ambassador to US, Mr Naresh Chandra, and the MSS Research Foundation Chairman, Dr M.S. As a run-up to the summit, the Andhra Pradesh Government would be organising "Yuva Chaitanyam", a youth-related programme for 12 days from December 1 in all the districts of the State. Under the programme, seminars, rallies and public meetings would be held across the State.
