Shipping Garden Reach takes up update scheme Our Bureau
Kolkata , Nov. 5 GARDEN Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers , the public sector ship-building yard under the administrative control of the Defence Ministry, has embarked upon a Rs 270-crore modernisation project to hasten ship construction activity and reduce the overall production cycle limit. The formation of "Quality Circle" at the shop floor level to enhance the workers' participation and improve productivity is the major component of the modernisation project, according to the company's sources.
