Sierra to locate Siebel centre in Hyderabad

SIERRA Atlantic on Tuesday announced its move to locate a Siebel Universal Application Network (UAN) Centre of Excellence at its global development centre in Hyderabad.

The centre will specialise in integrating the Siebel software with other software packages in an enterprise.

The Chief Executive Officer of Sirerra Atlantic, in a statement said UAN was becoming the integration platform of choice for Siebel customers. Based on its close association with Siebel over the last three years in terms of application integration, a wide expertise has been developed.

Mr Nimesh Mehta, Senior Vice-President, Siebel UAN, said Sierra's focus on enterprise application integration services, coupled with its long-term engineering relationship with Siebel, creates a powerful services capacity for Siebel's UAN platform.

This expanded relationship is aimed at the growing business from the US, Europe and S E. Asia and will see recruitment of over 100 enterprise application integration experts in development of products using Tibco, IBM WebSphere, WebMethods, SeeBeyond, BEA and BizTalk.
