IT Training I2IT to train Indonesian students Our Bureau
PUNE: The International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT), Pune has signed a memorandum of understanding with an Indonesian university - University of Padjadjaran (UNPAD) and an Indonesian company - Yayasan Hassaram Indonesia, to foster collaboration in developing information technology, education and research activities. According to an official communication, Dr Vijay Bhatkar, Director, I2IT, Ishwar Daryanani Co-ordinator of Yayasan Hassaram, Indonesia and Professor H Himendra Wargahadibrata, Rector of University of Padjadaran of Indonesia signed the MoU on the sidelines of the Asean Business and Investment summit addressed by the Prime Minister, Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee recently. The areas of co-ordination would include any programme or activity feasible to further academic interaction among the parties. ``We will take large number of Bangdung University students to Pune in phases and provide them education in information technology,'' said Dr Vijay Bhatkar. ``The training would essentially be in the field of IT hardware and not in software.'' he said.
