Commemorative stamps

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Department of Posts will be issuing multi-colour commemorative postage stamps on Jnanpith Award winners G. Sankara Kurup, S. K. Pottakad and Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai.

K. Sivaramakaranth and Govindrao Pansare are the other men of letters who would be featured on commemorative stamps subsequently, the Chief Post Master General said here. The stamps will be available for sale at all philatelic counters in the State and cancellation facilities are available at the four philatelic bureaus at Thiruvananthapuram GPO and the Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode head post offices. First day covers and information sheets will be available for sale for sale at Rs 2 each.
