Certification for pharma co

KOCHI: The Kozhikode-based Bangalore Antibiotics and Biologicals Private Limited has been awarded the CGMP certificate for Good Health Manufacturing Practices and quality as per the standards specified by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The fully air-conditioned central manufacturing plant of the company at Salem in Tamil Nadu conforms to stringent quality standards recommended by the Indian Drugs Control Directorate and WHO, based on which the certificate has been awarded, a senior official of the company said.

He said that the company manufactured a range of antibiotics and other medicines. Plans are also made to produce injectables and ointments.

According to Mr K.N. Sivaswamy, Managing Director, the company is in the process of diversifying into manufacturing of ayurvedic medicines and cultivating and processing of medicinal plants.
