Korea asks India to review SME policy

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Sept. 24

EMPHASISING the potential for India and South Korea to develop mutual relations, the South Korean Ambassador to India, Mr Kwon Soon-Tae, has called on Government to review the present policy of reservation for the small and medium enterprises (SME).

"If the Indian Government continues with the present small and medium enterprises policy, Korean companies will hesitate to come to India because of the difficulties to do business," the Ambassador said.

Mr Soon-Tae was, however, quick to point out that India should make the environment more investor-friendly not only for Korean investors but also for investors from other parts of the world.
