APKVIB bid to promote jobs in villages

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board (APKVIB) has so far promoted 110 types of industries in the villages with a population of less than 20,000, in its bid to provide employment to rural youth.

Aimed at creating a conducive environment to encourage entrepreneurship in villages, the board plans to provide employment to about 2,233 rural youth during the current year, according to its Chairman, Mr L. Ramana.
