Workshop on design

HYDERABAD: A four-day national workshop on `Quality improvement in product and process design using Taguchi approach' is being organised jointly by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) College of Engineering and the PRRM Engineering College at the UGC-Academic Staff College, JNTU from September 24.

Dr Ranjit K. Roy, Professor of Oakland University, US and an expert in the Taguchi approach will lead the workshop. The main aim of the exercise was to train the participants on improving the quality of processes and products. They would be explained how experiments can be designed to build robust products of consistent quality at economical costs for the global markets.

The Chairman of the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Dr R. Natarajan will deliver the inaugural address, according to a press release from the JNTU College of Engineering.
