Geometric tech gets US patent

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: Geometric Software Solutions has been awarded an American patent for `Hole Recognition' algorithms developed as part of its flagship technology, Feature Recognition (FR).

FR is an innovative technology for the automatic detection of features while exchanging three-dimensional design geometry, according to an official release. FR improves productivity, slashes product development cycle time and helps reduce time-to-market.

FR technology is licensed to Dassault Systems and integrated with Catia V5 and Delmia V5 Prismatic Machining Preparation Assistant and the Part Design Features Recognition products.
