Education Degree courses from ICFAI National College Our Bureau
Hyderabad , July 31 TARGETED at providing value-based, career-oriented education for students, ICFAI National College (INC), a new initiative of the ICFAI University, has announced full-time programmes in BA, BSc, BCom and BBA from eight centres in Andhra Pradesh and one in Chhattisgarh. The key differentiators of these courses over the traditional degree courses include 520 hours of extensive course in English and communication skills, 400 hours in information technology skills and another 400 hours in Current Affairs, taking the total to 1320 hours courses on skill development, apart from the domain courses spread over six semesters, the INC Dean, Mr R. Prasad, told newspersons here on Thursday. According tot the ICFAI University Academic Wing Dean, Mr Seethapathi Kasarabada, "The objective of INC is to provide high quality, value-based career oriented education for students and to facilitate students in understanding, developing, integrating and applying both core and specialised concepts and practices." The highlights of the INC course include full time campus based programmes, semester system, 18 subjects covered in six semesters over three years, contemporary and innovative curriculum, modern computing and library facilities, summer internships in collaboration with corporate houses, skill development workshops, English lab, earn-while-you-learn programme and placement assistance through ICFAI National Employment Exchange, Mr Prasad said. INC would initially have centres at Guntur, Hyderabad, Kakinada, Nellore, Rajahmundry, Tirupathi, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Raipur in Chhattisgarh. The University has plans to expand the network of INC to more States over the next few years, Mr Seethapathi said.
