Meet on mobile data services

BANGALORE: The Indus Entrepreneurs, Bangalore, in association with July Systems, had recently held a meet on mobile data services. Apart from providing a perspective on the global market, the seminar also featured a panel discussion on the ecosystem and emerging opportunities in the global market place.

The State Transport Department has launched a drive to check the use of improper vehicular headlights that have been the cause of numerous accidents, it is reported. Blinding headlights, malfunctioning tail-lights and defective brake-lights and reflectors have been identified as increasing the number of night-time highway accidents.

Road Transport officers squads at various points in Bangalore will watch for and stop offending vehicles - which will be repaired on the spot and vehicle owners charged for the repairs.
