THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) is organising a one-day seminar on `Evolving an action plan to facilitate the development and utilisation of medicinal plants' in Thiruvananthapuram on July 19.

The schedule of the seminar is divided into three technical sessions, each examining a specific theme, says an official release. The three areas that will be covered during the seminar include the commercial cultivation, preservation and scientific harvesting of medicinal plants and herbs, patent laws and related issues in the herbal drug industry and quality control and standardisation for herbal drugs. Speakers at the seminar are international experts in these areas, the release adds.
