Alliances & Joint Ventures Dishnet, Bharti Telesonic in pact Our Bureau
CHENNAI: DishnetDSL Ltd has entered into an "Indefeasible right to use agreement'' with Bharti Telesonic Ltd to contract STM (synchronous transporter module) 4 (622 Mbps) - a networking device - capacity on Bharti Telesonic's all-India network. The agreement will be valid for 15 years, says a DishnetDSL release. As per the agreement, DishnetDSL will carry its data traffic from any location to any other location on the Bharti Telesonic network. The agreement also provides DishnetDSL with fibre connectivity across a majority of its network access points, creating a "unique selling proposition'' for DishnetDSL consequent to the inherent advantages of fibre connectivity, the release says. The agreement with Bharti Telesonic coupled with DishnetDSL's purchase of international bandwidth of an identical STM 4 capacity from SingTel on Network i2i, would help DishnetDSL provide large domestic and international bandwidth, says the release.
