Tatas happy; BSES decision soon

Our Bureau

TATA Power Company officials said the High Court's order directing BSES to pay 50 per cent of the standby charges every month from July 2003 has "fully supported Tata Power's stand regarding standby charges."

BSES officials said: "MERC's jurisdiction (on determining standby charges) has been confirmed... The HC order is under study and future course of action (on whether or not it would appeal against the order in the Supreme Court) will be decided shortly."
