Strategy ESPN-Star resolve row with INCable Our Bureau
MUMBAI, May 27 ENDING a standoff between the major broadcasters and Mumbai's largest multi system operator, the Star Network and ESPN-Star Sports have switched on their signals to INCableNet, according to a news release. Last week, One Alliance (Sony network) and then Zee-Turner had switched their signals back on. "Star and ESPN-Star Sports have resolved their issues with INCableNet, and we are pleased to have them back on air," said Mr Ashok Mansukhani, Executive Vice President, Hinduja TMT, which claims a reach of over 12 lakh homes in Mumbai. The broadcasters had alleged non-payment of dues as the reason for switching off the signal, and the standoff came at a critical time, as broadcasters and MSOs prepare for the rollout of the conditional access system (CAS) in the four metros on July 14.
