New Products & Services Once-a-day cephalexin dosage from Lupin Our Bureau
MUMBAI, May 11 MUMBAI-BASED pharma company Lupin Ltd launched a once-a-day oral dosage form of cephalexin, Ceff-ER 750 mg tablets, a drug used in the treatment of day-to-day infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract and skin and soft tissue. The oral cephalexin solids market is currently pegged at Rs 1.4 billion as per March 2003 ORG data. According to a press release, Lupin's once-a-day dosage form will provide relief to current dosage on offer, which is thrice-a-day dosages in 250 mg and 500 mg strengths. "Our breakthrough in NDDS research with Ceff-ER once-a-day oral dosage is a testimony to our R&D skills. In less than two years of setting up the Lupin Research Park at Pune, we are already set to reap the fruit of our investments in research," says Mr D B Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Lupin.
