Rs 63.46-crore Nabard loan for AP water project

HYDERABAD: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned a loan of Rs 63.46 crore to the Andhra Pradesh Government for implementing irrigation and rural water supply projects.

These projects, estimated to cost Rs 73.99 crore, have been sanctioned on March 31 under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF).

The projects sanctioned include three protected water supply schemes covering Nalgonda and Karimnagar districts and 12 irrigation schemes covering six districts in the State. The irrigation schemes, estimated to cost Rs 14.82 crore, have been conceived to provide assured irrigation to 2,367 hectares of land, according to a Nabard press release.
