New GM for Karnataka Bank

MANGALORE: Mr Jayagopal Yekkar has been promoted as General Manager of Karnataka Bank with effect from April 1.

According to a bank press release, Mr Yekkar was hitherto Deputy General Manager of the bank's planning and development department at its head office here.

Mr Yekkar joined the bank in 1975 and served the bank in several positions in both operational and controlling capacities. As General Manager, he will be in charge of the planning and development department and the vigilance cell.
