Buying props rubber prices

KOTTAYAM, March 14

RUBBER prices gained momentum again on Friday on renewed buying by the tyre sector even as supply continued to be thing. Even the prices of ungraded rubber picked up on increased demand, especially from North India.

The general rubber goods sector continued to be active in the market. The covering group among the traders was also active to fulfil its commitments.

Sheet rubber RSS 4 was quoted at Rs 46 a kg on Friday from Rs 45.50 and ungraded at Rs 43.50 from Rs 43.25 on Thursday.

Both RSS 5 and block rubber ISNR 20 were flat at Rs 44.50 per kg but latex 60 per cent slipped to Rs 32.25 a kg from Rs 33.50.
