CHENNAI, March 13 WITH the aim to present a historical record of Hindi films, Encyclopaedia Britannica, publisher of reference, education and learning products, has launched the Encyclopaedia of Hindi Cinema. The product contains information on the business of Hindi cinema, as also about the narrative forms and analysis of the medium, in addition to the historical perspective, said a company press release. Containing 34 essays, "written by experts, who either have first-hand knowledge of the craft of filmmaking or have observed the industry from close quarters for decades", the Encyclopaedia also has a separate section on interviews with Hindi film personalities.
