NEW DELHI, March 7 IS something in the Budget bothering you? Is it a clarification you are seeking or a suggestion that you have in mind? Don't lose heart. The Ministry of Finance has set up a hotline to the Finance Minister, Mr Jaswant Singh, who is now just a click away willing to help you out in unravelling the `mysteries' of the Budget. In yet another novelty relating to the Budget introduced by the current team in the Finance Ministry, the public can now directly send in their queries by e-mail to Mr Singh who has decided to make himself available for queries and clarifications from just about everyone. The queries can e-mailed to finmin@finance.nic.in or posted at http://indiabudget.nic.in. According to the Ministry, the move has been done to encourage maximum public participation in the Budgetary process. The Ministry of Finance and Company Affairs has made arrangements to react to such queries by posting the replies on this Web site. Over 200 e-mail messages have already been received by the Finance Minister since the presentation of the Budget.
