Microsoft product wins award

HYDERABAD: Microsoft's Windows Services for Unix 3.0 (SFU3.0), developed at the Microsoft India Development Centre, based here, has won the Best System Integration Software award at the Linux World Conference held in New York.

The product won the award as it provides great business value proposition for customers based on an integrated platform approach.

Mr Srini Koppolu, Managing Director, Microsoft India, said, "we are very pleased that SFU3.0 has been awarded this recognition as a strategic product for system integration. The award is an acknowledgement that we are offering a product that delivers value to help customers gain productivity on the Windows platform and take advantage of their investments in UNIX and Linux.''

Windows Services for UNIX 3.0 provides a full range of cross-platform services that help integrate Windows in a secure and cost-efficient manner into existing UNIX and Linux environments.
