Naidu to inaugurate healthcare meet

HYDERABAD, Feb. 4

THE Asian symposium on healthcare industry, an initiative of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Assocham) is being organised on February 10 in Hyderabad.

The meet, to be inaugurated by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, will review the regulatory policies, implementation and growth constraints of the Indian pharma and biotech industry.

The important speakers at the day-long symposium include, Dr Manisha Desai of Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, Mr Ashwini Kumar, Drugs Controller General of India, Dr Anji Reddy, Chairman of Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Dr Kiron Mazumdar Shaw, CMD of Biocon India, Dr Swati Piramal, Director, Nicholas Piramal, Mr R.K. Somany, President of Assocham, Mr Ranjit Shahani, President of OPPI etc.

In addition to Assocham, the symposium is being co-sponsored by the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations, Pharma Research and Manufacturers of America, Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India and Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association of India.
