Granite & Marble Corporate - Financial Performance Pokarna Q3 net doubles Our Bureau
HYDERABAD, Jan 30 POKARNA Ltd, the Hyderabad-based Rs 69-crore company formerly known as Pokarna Granites, has posted a growth of 62.97 per cent in turnover and 109.94 per cent in net profit for the third quarter of the current fiscal ended December 31, 2002. According to the unaudited financial results approved by the board, the company achieved a sales turnover of Rs 24.28 crore as against Rs 14.9 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, other income of Rs 16.52 lakh (Rs 17.34 lakh) and a net profit of Rs 4.79 crore (Rs 2.28 crore) on an equity base of Rs 6.2 crore with reserves and surplus amounting to Rs 36.93 crore (Rs 23.25 crore). For the nine-month period ended December 31, 2002, the company posted a sales turnover of Rs 69.39 crore (Rs 46.56 crore), other income of Rs 45.74 lakh (Rs 33.24 lakh) and a net profit of Rs 13.62 crore (Rs 6.6 crore), yielding an EPS of Rs 21.98 (Rs 10.65).
