Timex posts 40% sales growth

NEW DELHI: Timex Watches Ltd has announced a 40 per cent growth in sales of Rs 23.47 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2002, compared to Rs 16.8 crore in the same quarter last year.

According to a press release, the company's sales have increased by 26 per cent to Rs 56.33 crore over the last nine months.

On the other hand, a recent KSA-Technopak study has also shown an increase in the company's market share by 22 per cent during the last one year.

As part of the company's expansion plans in the current year, the company is planning to open at least 100 Club Timex retail outlets. These outlets could either be exclusive showrooms or shop-in-shops within a retail outlet.
