Pharmaceuticals Corporate - Financial Performance Zydus Cadila net rises 18 pc in Q3 Our Bureau
MUMBAI, Jan. 29 ZYDUS Cadila has recorded a 18 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 17.29 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2002 as against Rs 14.70 crore in the corresponding period last year. According to the company, the increased sales of the products, Amlodac and Falcigo contributed to the growth in sales. Penegra, the sildenafil citrate product has a market share of 25 per cent and is the leader in the segment, the company claims. Net sales were up at Rs 166.63 crore (Rs 151.84 crore). Other income has dropped to Rs 29.67 lakh (Rs 43.40 lakh). Total expenditure has risen to Rs 140.35 crore (Rs 128.27 crore). Depreciation was at Rs 6.51 crore (Rs 5.25 crore). Provision for tax has increased to Rs 7.85 crore (Rs 2.17 crore).
