Seminar on technology forecast

HYDERABAD, Jan. 8

PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS (PwC) in coordination with the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) and the Government of Andhra Pradesh is organising a day-long seminar on its Technology Forecast 2002-04 on Thursday.

The Technology Forecast is an annual feature brought out by PwC Technology Centre in Menlo Park, California. It provides an insight into the direction, technology will adopt in the coming years. So far 12 editions of the Technology Forecast have been brought out.

The 13th Edition to be presented at the seminar would focus on navigating the future of software.

It deals with the bursting of the dot.com bubble, the evolution of enterprise applications and enabling software, the new directions in which e-business and software development are shaping up.

The Technology Forecast features four industry experts views; Ray Ozzie, inventor of Lotus Notes, Hasso Platner, co-founder and CEO of SAP; F. Warren McFarlan, Prof. Of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and Roger McNamee, co-founder and general partner of Integral Capital Partners.

The PwC India Technology and Solution Delivery Centre, Kolkata identifies the trends in the global IT industry that are relevant for companies in India.

The seminar would also have a round table discussion, being organised by FAPCCI, involving speakers from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the industry, the release said.
