Standards & Benchmarks Mascot assessed at CMM Level 5 Our Bureau
BANGALORE: Software services firm Mascot Systems has announced that it has been assessed at Level 5 of the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Level 5 assessment has been secured by the Mascot's India development centres at Bangalore and Chennai, said a company press release. The software CMM is the de facto industry standard for assessing and improving the processes adopted by a software development company. A Level 5 assessment essentially represents the top two per cent of software development organisations in the world. The lead assessor of KPMG Consulting, which carried out the assessment rated Mascot's practices as "among the best in the industry".
