Naidu to lead ministerial team to Singapore

HYDERABAD, Dec. 26

THE Chief Minister, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, is leading a high-level ministerial and official delegation to the 5th World Telugu Conference scheduled for three days from December 27 at Singapore.

Among the Ministers accompanying the Chief Minister are Mr Y. Ramakrishnudu, Minister for Finance, Mr. K. Vidyadhar Rao, Minister for Major Industries, Mr Venkateswara Rao, Minister for School Education and Ms Uma Madhava Reddy, Minister for Mines.

Mr Omprakash Tibrewala, President of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, is heading a 20-member industrialists' delegation for the conference.

He will address a seminar there on "Trade and industry - destination Andhra Pradesh" projecting the State as an ideal destination for overseas investors.

He will also highlight the advantages of the State such as a developed infrastructure and industry-friendly government policies.

FAPCCI will circulate a CD on "Infinite opportunities@Andhra Pradesh" and its own role in safeguarding the interests of entrepreneurs. An MoU between FAPCCI and the Singapore Indian chamber of Commerce and Industry is expected to be signed to promote trade, investment, social, economic and human resource development and technical and scientific cooperation.

The Singapore Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr B.G. George Yeo, will be the guest of honour at the conference.
