Machine of the year

If there ever was any machine that represented and upheld the value of democracy, it is the electronic voting machine manufactured by BEL. All elections held this year, including the crucial ones in Jammu & Kashmir, Goa and Gujarat, have been conducted through electronic machines.

From voters to political parties, everyone has held the EVM in high regard due to its simplicity, security and tamper-proof nature. This wonder machine must be used not only during State and General elections but also panchayat and corporation elections.

What makes the EVM extra-special is the fact that it is also environment-friendly. Reams and reams of paper, and our forest wealth will be saved apart from savings in printing of ballot papers and making of ballot boxes.
