Surya Roshni bags export order

NEW DELHI: Surya Roshni Ltd, the second largest manufacturers of lighting equipment in India, has received orders worth over $ 1 million for supply of lamp components to the Middle East. According to the company, this is the largest export order for lamp components to be received by any Indian company.

The company has steadily been increasing its share in the highly competitive export market for lighting products such as bulbs and fluorescent tubular lamps for over a decade by meeting global quality standards. Presently, Surya's products are available in more than 45 countries across the globe including the SAARC nations, the European Union, the UK and the US among others. The components used for the manufacture of lighting products such as glass shells, lead glass tubes and aluminium caps are manufactured at the company's plants in Uttaranchal and Madhya Pradesh. Surya Roshni, a Rs 800 crore company, is the second largest in the business in India after Philips.
