SANGHI Spinners India Ltd, the flagship company of the Sanghi Group has won the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certificate from the BTTG Manchester United Kingdom (UK), the institute of the international association for research and testing in the field of textile ecology.

The certificate is given to the company in recognition of its products for un-dyed 100 per cent cotton, 100 per cent polyester, polyester/cotton blended and polyester/viscose blended yarns in single and double, combed and carded varieties which meet the human ecological requirements of the current standard for adult use with direct skin contact. According to the company, the certification also fulfils the requirements for the use of azo-dyestuffs of the German regulations, which came into force on April 1, 1996.

Sanghi Spinners has been recognised as a premium trading house by the Ministry of Commerce and is the only one of its kind in Andhra Pradesh.

The company is also ISO-9002 and one of the few textile units in the export-oriented units sector in the country to have received ISO-14001, it said.

According to Mr Amit Sanghi, CEO of the company, exports to more than 34 countries have earned nearly Rs 150 crore turnover per annum.
