HYDERABAD, Dec. 20

MICROSOFT India Development Centre, which provides R&D support for Microsoft Corporation, has developed yet another product for the global market.

The product serves as a connector for Outlook and Lotus Domino and helps in seamless messaging applications. The Microsoft Outlook 2002 Connector released simultaneously globally is a software add-in that enables users of the IBM Lotus Domino Release 5 messaging server to use the Outlook 2002 messaging and collaboration client as an e-mail client application.

The Managing Director of MIDC, Mr Srini Koppolu, addressing a media conference along with the team that developed the product at the Hitec City facility here, said with the new Connector, users can easily conduct most common e-mail, calendar and contact management functions through Outlook, while in a Lotus Domino environment.

Mr Koppolu said that Outlook 2002 is the Office XP personal information management and communication solution that is used worldwide to simplify e-mail communication, streamline group planning and scheduling and provide easy access to information.

This is a continued demonstration of the opportunity we provide for software professionals in India to develop next generation products and technologies that address the needs of the customers.
