Pepsi's ED Rishi moves to NY, Kalathil taking over

NEW DELHI, Dec. 19

PEPSICO India today announced that Ms Vibha Rishi, Executive Director, Marketing, in-charge of the soft drink major's South Asia marketing operations, is moving to PepsiCo New York to join the company's international marketing team.

Mr Shashi Kalathil, currently Executive Vice-President of PepsiCo India's South operations based in Chennai, will take over from Ms Rishi.

Ms Rishi has been with PepsiCo India since the company began its operations in India, 13 years ago. Mr Kalathil, an IIM-B alumnus, spent 12 years at HLL in marketing research and sales across segments such as foods, detergents and personal products. He then joined the RPG Group in Chennai.

Pepsi 500 ml, Diet Pepsi and the 2-litre PET packs were introduced under Mr Kalathil. He was also part of the team that launched the Yeh dil maange more campaign.

The company also announced regional-level developments. Mr Prakash Iyer, head of Pepsi's operations in the North and East, will take over Mr Kalathil's position in the South. Mr P. Venkatshankar, General Manager in Mumbai, will take over Mr Iyer's position in the East - based in Kolkata.

Mr Satendra Agarwal, who was the Franchise Director at the company's corporate headquarters at Gurgaon, will move to Mumbai as the head of the West Market Unit. Mr Tanmay Vats, also a Franchise Director based at Gurgaon, will now head the North Market Unit.
