`Kissan Samman Week' begins today

HYDERABAD: The Directorare of Rice Research (DRR) will throw open its research facilities, farms and seed sale counters to farmers during the `Kisan Samman Week' celebrations beginning from Tuesday to mark the birth centenary of Chaudhary Charan Singh, former Prime Minister of India.

The transferable rice production technology would be demonstrated to the visiting farmers. The museum, experimental fields, glass houses and labs would be kept open during the week, a press release said.
