Karnataka plans livestock park

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Government is planning to develop a livestock park around lake Hesarghatta near Bangalore.

The park with all the requisite amenities for animals and proper environment will also become a picnic spot for students to visit, said the Minister for Animal Husbandry, Mr M. Mahadev.

A good number of research centres including cattle, duck and rabbit breeding centres, frozen and fodder development centre are spread across 2,104 acres in Hesarghatta.

The area would be developed as animal husbandry centre with the assistance of the State and Central Government.
