People Jet CEO says he's quitting to go back home Our Bureau
NEW DELHI, Nov. 28 PUTTING at rest speculation on the reasons for quitting as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jet Airways, Mr Steve Forte, today said that he had spent three rewarding years in the airline contributing to its internal as well as external growth, supported by the entire management team. "The excellence of the services offered by the airline is a testimonial to the commitment of all employees to the customer. Anyone who has flown other airlines, worldwide, will identify with my statement," Mr Forte said in a statement. Mr Forte is to resign from his position as CEO Of Jet Airways from December 1 this year. While there has been intense speculation that Mr Forte quit his position in Jet Airways due to differences with the Chairman, Mr Naresh Goyal, the statement points out that Mr Forte is keen to return to the US after 17 years to pursue other interests and spend time with the family.
