Dumping duty likely on lamps from China, HK

K.R. Srivats

NEW DELHI, Nov. 23

THE selling prices of officially imported compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) from China and Hong Kong may soon move northwards, with the Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry recommending definitive anti-dumping duty on such imports from these two countries.

A definitive anti-dumping duty usually lasts for five years, unless reviewed in the interim period.

Indo Asean Fusegear Ltd and Osram India Ltd had filed the petition seeking anti-dumping probe on CFL imports from China and Hong Kong.
