HYDERABAD, Nov. 22

SPEAKERS at the inaugural session of the two-day Southern India Regional Cost Convention of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) stressed the need to cope with the rapid pace at which business paradigms were shifting in the era of globalisation.

While some stressed on the urgency to adopt a paradigm shift towards innovation-driven economy from the investment-driven economy, others pointed out the significance of attaining quality through technology, innovation, research and development, market access through new initiatives and excellence through collaboration.

According to the Chairman and Managing Director of InfoTech Enterprises, Mr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, the major shift in paradigm was from revenues to profitability and cash flows, from market cap to brands, technology and intellectual capital.
