BANGALORE, Nov. 22

A THREE-DAY EU-India Aero Technologies Summit being held here next week will focus on forging a powerful partnership between European and Indian aviation industries.

The summit scheduled for November 26-28 will discuss co-operation between the two groups of industries in research, design, manufacture and maintenance of aircraft and aviation infrastructure and also result in greater sub-contracting opportunities into India, according to Dr C.G. Krishnadas Nair, President of SIATI and until recently Chairman of HAL. SIATI or the Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries is a large grouping of small and medium scale aerospace equipment making industries.

The seminar and interactions during the event will cover aircraft, engines, equipment and space with the broad objective of improved air safety, Dr Nair told at a curtain raiser on Friday.
