International Travel Marketing - Strategy Kathmandu at rock-bottom prices with IA Our Delhi Bureau
INDIAN Airlines (IA) and major hotels in Kathmandu on Tuesday announced holiday packages for Indian visitors. The packages, which are on offer till March 31, 2003, offer travellers from different cities, including Delhi, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Cochin and Amritsar, the opportunity of staying in hotels in Kathmandu during the peak season at rock-bottom prices. The packages range from Rs 7,300 for a three-night package for a passenger from Kolkata to Rs 31,785 for a four-day package for a passenger from Kochi. Travellers wanting to avail of the package from Delhi will be charged between Rs 10,115 to Rs 14,080 for a four-day three-night package including return airfare, bed and breakfast and sightseeing tours. The packages offer a choice of six hotels in Kathmandu, including Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Yak and Yeti, Hyatt Regency, Everest, Grand and Shangri-La. The three-night/four-day package includes return airfare in economy class, accommodation at select hotels on bed and breakfast basis, applicable passenger service fee, insurance and surcharge, applicable foreign tax in India, airport pick-up and drop and sightseeing tours. Besides, passengers from Kolkata can also avail of a two-night/three-day package in addition to the three-night/four-day package. Furthermore, passengers can book the packages directly from IA offices, authorised travel agents or the package Web site at indianairlinespackages.com. At present, IA flies to Kathmandu from Delhi, Varanasi, and Kolkata.
