BANGALORE, Nov. 14

THE Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Christ College, Bangalore have agreed to partner in organising seminars, workshops and conference.

A two-day session on `Quality in Education' to be held on Friday and Saturday will be part of the joint initiative, a CII release said.

The seminar to be held at the National Science Seminar Complex, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, will be inaugurated by the Minister for Higher Education, Mr G. Parameshwar.

Realising the importance of the role of education in building globally competitive country, the tenth Quality Summit being held here has included a session on education to provide a platform for sharing quality initiatives implemented by various educational institutions.

This year's theme "Competitiveness in Education Sector: We can make it Happen" aims to carry forward the learning experience on quality in industry and transpose it into the field of education.
