Travel & Places Passport adalat in Chennai on Nov 23 Our Bureau
CHENNAI: The Chennai Regional Passport Office is organising a Passport Adalat on November 23 at Shastri Bhavan. This programme, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will deal with applications filed this year till the end of September, and are pending for reasons such as insufficient information, discrepancies in application and unclear police reports. According to a release, details such as the name of the applicant, file reference number and key number of the application with a note on the nature of grievances should be conveyed either through the Web site, http://passport.tn.niv.in, or through a post card superscribed `application for participation in passport adalat - Nov 2002', by November 20.If the file number is not known, then the demand draft number with its date should be submitted. The registered post receipt number and date of posting of the application should be mentioned if submitted by post. However, those applications which are already closed after notice to the applicants will not be considered by the adalat.
