Global aluminium meet in April

BANGALORE: The fourth international conference on aluminium, INCAL 2003, will be held in Delhi from April 23 to 25. The three-day meet is expected attract participation form about 1,000 delegates from various countries and will focus key issues relating to the industry like process, product development, market potential and health and environment. The conference is being organised by the Aluminium Association of India, the apex body of aluminium industry, with the support of the Department of Mines.

The conference will deliberate the strategies to improve aluminium consumption produced in the country. In this context, the Association pointed out that Indian needs to spruce itself to catch up with China which has not only achieved a tremors growth in production of aluminium but also in consumption by the domestic market.

The Association said convergence of large number of experts from national and international aluminium industry would provide the best opportunity to exchange views and help plan the future of Indian aluminium industry.
