BANGALORE, Oct. 31

WITH the introduction of the Bolero Sportz priced at an attractive Rs 4.93 lakh, Mahindra & Mahindra has now broken the Rs 5 lakh price barrier in the multi-utility vehicles segment. An extension of the highly successful Bolero brand - the Bolero Sportz is an endeavour by M&M to offer a sporty multi-utility vehicle (MUV) to India, in recognition of the changing consumer tastes and preferences as urban car buyers are increasingly inclined towards good-looking utility vehicles, says the company.

Former Olympian and Arjuna Award winner Mr S. Jalaluddin gave away the keys to the first customer of the Bolero Sportz at a glittering ceremony in Bhopal today.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch of Bolero Sportz at Bhopal, Mr Nalin Mehta, General Manager Automotive Sector, M&M, said, "The Bolero Sportz is aimed at those who want an attractive, sporty and powerful utility vehicle that offers blends car like comfort with superb outdoor capability. The value pricing of the Bolero Sportz should make for an attractive proposition for the style-conscious and discerning consumers."

The Sportz embodies all that can be expected from the Bolero range of vehicles and in fact much more, he said. The Bolero Sportz comes packed with new styling, sporty looks and a host of customer friendly features like air-conditioning, power steering and much more. Bolero Sportz has a 2500 cc diesel engine, extra-smooth suspension to glide, super quiet cabin, all new interiors, bucket seats that cradle and metallic paint, he added.

The Bolero Sportz confirms M&M's commitment to customer satisfaction and is a telling sign of the company's endeavour to innovate through continuous product development and improvement. With the Sportz the company intends to rejuvenate the MUV segment by offering an aspirational product, he said.
