SOUTH African Breweries India Ltd, a subsidiary of SABMiller Plc, the world's second largest brewery, launched its international flagship brand Castle Lager in the city today.

Castle Lager is being brewed at Mysore Breweries Ltd, which was acquired by SAB last year, and made available in two pack sizes of 650 ml and 330 ml. The Managing Director of Mysore Breweries, Mr David Kvalsvig, said significant investment in technology and process upgrades was made to make the brewery measure up to international standards.

The beer in an attractive amber coloured bottle with the famous red and gold label is priced at Rs 48 for 650 ml.
